A partial-service celebration - the client kept the venue and the guest list, and handed over styling, catering and the evening's running order.
Not every celebration needs full planning, and pricing one as though it does is how clients end up paying for coordination they did not want. This showcase describes a partial engagement: the client had already chosen and booked the venue and was handling invitations themselves.
What was handed over was everything that benefits from being done once a week rather than once a lifetime - the catering brief and tasting, the styling and lighting, the entertainment booking, and the running order for the evening.
Ninety guests in a single room is a size where the room's mood does most of the work. Lighting was the largest single styling decision, changing twice over the evening as the event moved from reception to dinner to dancing.
Accessibility and transport were planned from the start, because a guest list spanning four generations always includes people for whom a late finish and a distant car park are the deciding factor.
